Dr. Jordan collaborated with Dr. Geoffrey Zinberg at Berks Oral Surgery + Dental Implant Center and the team at DeLux Dental Laboratory to make this incredible dental transformation possible through the life-changing New Teeth Today procedure. New Teeth Today allows for dental implants to be placed and permanent teeth to be inserted during a SINGLE APPOINTMENT.
Dissatisfied by the appearance of her teeth (“they didn’t look like they did when I was younger”), Kathy originally came to us for teeth whitening options. A whitening tray was made, and she used it for about a month. While her teeth did lighten in color, she was still dissatisfied with the appearance of her smile; it was at this time, we began discussing alternative cosmetic options for broken, worn, and misshaped teeth. Models were made of her existing teeth to assist our dental lab technician with highly cosmetic options moving forward. The talented Nouveau Dental Studio was able to provide a “preview smile” on the models, which could also be used for Kathy’s temporary crowns. At this point, a plan was finalized to place crowns on 6 front teeth (canine to canine). We prepared all 6 teeth for the crowns, a model was fabricated for Nouveau Dental Studio, and temporary crowns were placed for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, the porcelain crowns were back from the lab - and they were a beautiful, functional, highly aesthetic fit ALMOST IMMEDIATELY!!! Finally as a last step, the final crowns were permanently cemented in place…and the result was a beautiful - and healthy - smile! With excellent oral hygiene, along with careful technique and planning, this transformation was able to be completed without any disruption or damage to the gums whatsoever (look how healthy Kathy’s gums are)!
Dr. Jordan worked with Dr. Geoffrey Zinberg at Berks Oral Surgery + Dental Implant Center to make this incredible new smile possible! After Dr. Zinberg placed the dental implants for missing teeth, we completed this beautiful smile here at Central Berks Dental Center by making the crowns and performing some polishing and bonding with NO drilling and NO Novocain.
A local Orthodontist was dissatisfied with the appearance of her teeth & had multiple issues of dental decay & fillings to her front teeth for roughly a decade. Our goal: to formulate a plan to achieve not only a highly cosmetic result, but also a long-lasting result that would also protect for possible future decay. After examination & consultation, a decision was made to extract the 2 teeth aside her front teeth due to significant decay. First, however, we planned to temporarily crown the front teeth to make sure a good result was possible. Once these teeth were crowned (& more importantly, were determined as sound enough to remain), a referral was made to Dr. Fallon at Berks Oral Surgery + Dental Implant Center for dental implants to be placed where the 2 side teeth were to be extracted. Amazingly, Dr. Fallon was able to extract both unrestorable teeth & place implants in the SAME VISIT! Even more amazingly, implant temporary crowns were able to be placed THE SAME DAY - a very unique situation! We made a model of the positioning of the implants placed by Dr. Fallon while the patient was coming out of anesthesia. The pictures you see are of the implant temporary crowns just 4 hours after the actual teeth were extracted (note how unbelievably good the gums look!)! At this point, we needed to wait a few months for the implants to become fully embedded in bone to finish the case. Meanwhile, a decision was made to crown 4 additional teeth to the premolar area due to high risk of dental decay, completed after the implants were healed & checked by Dr. Fallon. The patient returned to have the remaining 4 teeth prepared for crowns, temporary crowns were fitted, & an impression was made. After 2 weeks, we completed the finished case - 6 crowns were cemented onto existing teeth & the 2 implant crowns were finished with final porcelain crowns. All said & done, 8 restorations were placed to create a highly aesthetic, functional, & comfortable new smile!!! This amazing transformation was made possible by the incredible communication & collaboration between the patient, general dentist, oral surgeon, & Berks Dental Laboratory.
